Fair Housing Education
Our Fair Housing and Fair Lending training seminars are targeted to the general public, housing providers (realtors, builders, developers, and rental management agents), housing advertisers (local print and digital media classified personnel), mortgage lending institutions, homeowner insurers, architects, and municipal building code officials.
Once a month, our HUD-approved homebuyer counselor, Tonisha Brown, leads a class targeted to individuals & families that are actively looking to purchase a home, as well as those who may be interested in becoming a homeowner in the near future. The workshops are quite comprehensive and a great introduction to all stages of the home buying process. More Info & Schedule
Loan Modification & Foreclosure Assistance Workshops
Our loan modification and foreclosure assistance workshops are geared toward existing homeowners who are currently struggling with their mortgage payments, as well as those who are behind in their payments and facing the possibility of foreclosure.
HUD’s Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Obligations
This workshop is targeted to local government entities, including municipalities, townships, school districts, and county government officials. Local governments and states that receive Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA), as well as public housing agencies (PHAs), are required to affirmatively further the purposes of the Fair Housing Act.
